Description: Birch lake is located mid-way between the towns of Vitre and Laval, a few minutes drive away from a pretty Bretagne village. The lake is situated in private fenced grounds on the edge of the forest and down a little-used country side-road.
The 1 1/4 hour drive from St Malo is all by motoway and there are no tolls. The lake is 2 1/2 hours from Caen and Le Havre, and 3 hours Cherbourg - again no tolls. Calais is 4 1/2 hours away by new motoway
