La Carrière
Location: Situated in Normandy (Northern France) just an hour’s drive from Le Havre.
Description: La Carrière is a top destination; the property consists of 5 lakes featuring grassy banks, overhanging trees, lily pads and some islands. It’s definitely a runs water and the positive feedback we get is enormous. No wonder people book their favorite peg one year in advance.
The lakes: The venue consists of 5 lakes with respective surfaces of 16 hectares, 12 hectares, 7 hectares, 8 hectares and 4 hectares. Grassy banks, overhanging trees, lily pads and some islands are the main features. The bottoms of the lakes are hard with gravel and sandy patches. The depth varies between 2 m and 2,5 m. There are no obstacles and no weed formation. Bear in mind that there are fresh water mussels. There’s a secure perimeter fence, which will give you a safe feeling.
The swims: Although there are 22 swims, the owner doesn’t want to have more than 25 anglers at the venue at any one time. This means that the fish will never be overstressed. The swims are large and have good access by car. All swims are doubles and swims 3, 5, 16, 22, 23 and 24 are big enough for 3 anglers.
Stocking: Due to the good management of the venue, La Carrière has an ideal stock of healthy and big carp. You can catch fish both by day and by night. The stock consists of 1500 carp between 20 and 50 pounds; several 30’ers and 40’ers are caught every week.
Facilities: The anglers have at their disposal a kitchen, a dining room, a shower and a toilet. These are cleaned on a daily basis.
