Description: There are many lakes to Fish in France, but very few that can compare to Les Fortinieres, producing the most amazing quality Carp, Mirror's & Common's to over 60lb, Grass Carp to 44lb, along with Catfish to 130lb, after years of fishing the Famous Millers French Carp & Cats Venues, we are delighted to have been able to take over Les Fortinieres, and carry on offering this fantastic venue to the discerning carp & cat Fishermen out there, who are looking for Top quality Fishing ,in a Fantastic location, in luxury Lakeside accommodation, suitable for the serious fishermen and there family , with the majority of our customers booking there next trip before they leave.
Lake: Etang Les Fortinieres is 10 acres with lots of features 3 islands, gravel & silt areas and a long sandbank, overhanging tree's and reed beds, there is also a shallow corner of the lake which is great for stalking, there are 8 swim's to choose from, 3 very productive swims are located directly outside the accommodation, the others are dotted around the lake, the lake and grounds are breathtaking through all the seasons, The lake along with countless pristine big Carp & cats and lakeside 1st class Accommodation make Les Fortinieres a Top fishing and holiday destination
Our second lake, willow lake which is 1.6 acres has been drained and re dug, we have re stocked it with some amazing carp 2@ 46lb 3@ 42lb 10@ 40lb 10@ 37lb 3@ 35lb and 12 commons from 30lb to 40lb we had the pick from 300 plus carp which you can see in the video clip below all young carp which will grow fast all with some great scale patterns
Facilities: There is lots to see and do here for family’s of all ages, we also have a swimming pool & BBQ area for use during your stay, if you want to Fish, just sit back and relax, take a stroll around the grounds or Lakes go sightseeing or shopping, Les Fortinieres is a great holiday destination, shop's are 5 minutes away, the Historic town of Chateaurox is 20 minutes, the airports of Limoges, Tours & poitiers are aprox 1 hr away
