Castaway Lake 1 - The first of three lakes at La Creuse in France

Description:Castaway Lake 1 itself is approx. 5 acres in size fed by a small stream, and has reed beds and high quantity of lilly pads. It is believed to be over 1000 years old and is shown on all good maps. There are two double swims and one single swim, set in amongst the trees as we only have 5 anglers at a time giving each angler approx. 1 acre to themselves. Around the lake you may occasionally see a deer or two along with buzzards and kingfishers. The lake is stocked with Commons Mirrors and grass carp up to 50lb cat fish to 80lb+ and silver carp to over 60lb.. Castaway Lake 1 is located on the outskirts of the tranquil village of Ajain, which is situated in the La Creuse region of France just off the N145, which makes access to our lake very straightforward. The village of Ajain is within walking distance from the lake. If you enjoy wildlife, peace and quiet then this is your dream lake. We have decided to open this venue on a drive and survive basis with a maximum of 7 anglers, as we know that there are a lot of anglers who prefer to use their own equipment, or alternatively you can hire all the equipment from us. It has two double, one single and one treble swims, which are within walking distance of the caravan which provides toilet, shower , fridge etc. It is again set in the La Creuse region and just 5 minutes from our first venue. It has never been commercially fished before and we shall be stocking it with 4 tonne of carp ranging from 18lb to 46lb plus, which we have on order and will be added in November to the unknown existing stock. Castaway Lake 2 is located approx 5 minutes away by car situated in the countryside between Jarnage and Pionnat, with both villages being a short drive away. Both our lakes are within easy driving distance of the main town of Gueret, where you will find everything you need from bars, restaurants and hypermarkets, fishing tackle shops etc.

Additional stock is to be added at the end of 2004 with more carp between 30 to 40lb's.

Facilities:
A high quality 2 man bivvy per person erected at your swim. Supplied in the bivvy you will find a high quality 3 legged bed chair and recling chair, large bivvy table, plus a 3 burner camping stove with gas. All cooking utensils are also provided, plates, cutlery, kettle, saucepan and all your basic needs to be able to cook that good old English breakfast. Also a Willerby 6 berth mobile home is available for the use of all anglers. Has toilet, separate shower room, fridge, cooker and hot and cold water.

We have decided to open this venue on a drive and survive basis with a maximum of 7 anglers, as we know that there are a lot of anglers who prefer to use their own equipment, or alternatively you can hire all the equipment from us. 5 minutes away by car is the village of Jarnage where you will find a bakers, small supermarket, bars and hotel/resturant. Both our lakes are within easy driving distance of the main town of Gueret, where you will find everything you need from bars, restaurants and hypermarkets, fishing tackle shops etc.

Facilities:
For your comfort whilst fishing, we have put on site two 19ft long, 4 berth caravan which both includes toilet/shower room, fridge, cooker, hot and cold water, etc.
These are for the use of all anglers on the lake and are included in the cost.

Description:Our new CATFISH only lake.
Have you always wanted to try Cat fishing but don't have the equipment to cope with the shear power of them, well don't worry we can help.
Set in a valley of stunning French tranquillity you will find Castaway Lake 3. This lake is 4.5 acres in size and is surrounded by forests and fields. It has 4 large single wood chipped swims, where on your arrival you will find your bivvy, etc already erected and waiting for you, also all the tackle you will need, and it is all included in the price.
Stock:The catfish range from 25lb to 190lbs, and these include the outstanding Mandarin Catfish so why not take the opportunity of trying to catch one of these magnificent cats.
Facilities:
- A high quality 2 man bivvy per person erected at your swim.
- Supplied in the bivvy you will find a 3 legged bed chair, fishing chair, large bivvy table.
- 3 rods (4lb test curve), big pit bait runner reels with line and rigs. Pod, landing net, unhooking mat Weighing scales etc.
- Caravan at the lake edge, supplying hot/cold water, shower/toilet.
