This well know venue in the Champagne region has changed hands with new owners Marcus and Bianca Wetzl, taking over from Jeff and Lisa Powell who, founders of the JRC Brand, have developed the fishery to become one of the leading carp fisheries in France.

As a regular and successful visitor to the venue Marcus was delighted to be offered the chance to buy the complex from Jeff, and intends to run the venue along the same successful lines as Jeff but the facilities and stocks will be reviewed throughout this first season with a view to future development.

These lakes are well known for their potential with good stocks of Carp to around ‘mid fifties, Grassies to 45 and Catfish to mid eighties. Excellent catering and washroom facilities are provided on site and a timber lodge provides a full accommodation option.

Description: Look no further, at Les Rivets you will discover an extra special fishery and experience some outstanding fishing. Our 9 acre lake is near to the town of St Fargeau in the Yonne district and has a large stock of Carp.  Looking to take the family on holiday and do some Carp fishing? Well, this is the place for you. We have a 4 bedroom house overlooking the lake with heated swimming pool. All the bedrooms have double beds and there a large patio area where to sit and relax.  We are located to a National Park where the family can go for long walks. Five minutes from the reservoir you can find beaches for family picnics or just sit around our heated pool. Four minutes away there is an Animal Park and an Adventure Park for the kids. For the ladies who love a day out shopping just take a 40 minute car trip into the main town of Auxerre.

Lake: the lake has 10 man made swims, 8 of these are double swims which gives comfort for 8 angler, and can take up to 10 anglers without a problem. It is spring and river fed and is closed water with night fishing allowed. There is plenty of tree cover and the bottom of the lake is clay and has some gravel areas. The depth of this lake is from 4 feet at the shallow end to 14 feet deep at the dam end and the average depth is over 7 ft deep.

Stock: There are now about 260 Carp with 40% of the stock being common's and the biggest are the moment is 60.1lb common, largest Mirror caught 53lbs.

Facilities: For the Drive and Survive there are two shower and kitchen area, with Freezer, fridge, cooker, and microwave. There are four bedrooms two on the ground floor and two bedrooms are on the top floor, both top floor bedrooms are double sized rooms. On request we can add more beds in these bedrooms. In the TV room at the top of the stairs there is a put me up bed. All bedrooms have double beds.

Description: The use of boats is allowed on the lake as long as life jackets are worn and that the boat is used in a safe and responsible manner. Boats supplied with oars and lifejackets are available for hire. There plentiful supply of electric engines available for  the boats which comes with two fully charged leisure batteries. The use of bait boats is also allowed. 

Fishing is not allowed from the North bank which means that you will not have anyone fishing from the opposite bank. The swims have for the year (2007)  have undergone extensive work, making them spacious, safe and clean as too have the paths and roads. Lake: This 27 acre lake is the first in a series of six. The Lake is up to 160 yards wide and over 900 yards long. Depths vary from 3 feet to 20 feet with the majority of the lake bed being clay or gravel. There are a number of weed beds mainly around the bars and margins. Fishing tight to these weed beds produces good catches

Stock: Following the restocking in 2003'4 we successfully introduced a further 1 ton of Carp up to 62 lbs. have in 2007. This pushes the the current stock levels to over 400 carp, half of which are in excess of 30lbs. A further Half ton of carp has been added in 2008 with a70lb Catfish.

Facilities:  Chef de Ville has recently purchased the house next to the entrance gate to the fishery. The property has a large basement which has been converted into a large dining area. There is also a new shower room with two showers, two toilets and hand basin.

A large breakfast and evening meal will be served in the dining area or it can be brought to your swim by request. 

Recharging facilities are available for Mobile Phones - Bait boat batteries etc.

Our recently renovated ancient longere with its own two acre carp lake set in eight acres of French pastures is ideally suited for families and small parties looking to achieve this.

The Lake: Two acres in size, set in eight acres of meadow, damned at one end the lake is fed by many underground springs. It is lined with Willows, Silver Birch, various shrubs and Iris Reeds. At the damn end the depth is about ten feet, going back to four feet at the house end. The far bank is meadow with Iris Reeds along the margins.There are four swims on the lake, all being on the near bank. The lake bed is made up of gravel and sand and a little silt at the shallow end. The lake was de-silted in 2002 when 8000 tons of silt was removed. There is a small patch of lilies in the middle of the lake. All the swims are gravel based for your comfort.

The lake is virtually snag free, but we recommend a minimum of 12lb breaking strain line. The fishery is suited for 3 anglers, each with a three rod set up.We stock Nutrabaits 'Trigga', and a selection Dynamite Baits product, also pellets and seeds which can be pre-ordered. There is a small rowing boat available for your use if you require it. (use at your own risk).

No permits are required and night fishing is permitted.

Stock: When the lake was drained in the Spring of 2002 the fish stock was mainly small fish of various species. These were removed and given to the local fish farmer. Once the lake was de-silted and limed the sluice gate closed, the lake quickly filled.

Then, in the Winter of 2002, the lake was stocked with forty-five carp between 16lb - 28lb and five carp of 29lb - 33lb. In December 2003 we added a further 39 carp to 28lbs (17 x 20-28lbs and 13 x 17-20lbs) plus 9 Grass carp to 25lbs, and some pike.The total stock is over 80 fish. The average weight of stock now being 20lbs+. These have been fed on carp pellets throughout the Winter months.

In Febraury 2005 we added 2 Mirrors of 42lbs and 44lbs and 6 fish of 35lbs - 38lbs to compliment the existing stock, also 15 Catfish between 10lbs - 15lbs and two of 30lbs, one of these larger Cats was caught during a netting sesion in the winter of 2006, and weighed 49lbs! Description: Take a drive into the heart of Picardie, Northern France, and experience the delights of Le Domain des iles. The 60 acres of water on this private estate plays host to about 1,000 specimen carp up to 66lbs, with almost one hundred in the 40 to 60lb bracket. The complex, which is located within the most gorgeous settings, consists of three lakes which originally where all connected to each other by channels where the carp could move from lake to lake, however to enhance the quality of the fishing the channels have been blocked off so that we can offer different styles of fishing.

The Main LAKE: The main lake is limited to 12 anglers and offers the very realistic chance of some huge fish. There is one main Lodge at the North east end of the lake which when booked includes the 4 swims at that corner of the lake. There are also 2 cabins situated next to each other where it is possible to fish from the cabins. The lake record of 66 pounds is to be found in this lake along with a lot of the other big fish. As an added bonus 152 catfish where stocked into this lake in Jan 2000 ranging from 3 pounds to 30 pounds, and as expected these have piled on the weight pretty rapidly due to the amount of small fish in the lake and are now between 20 and 60 pounds. There are now 6 new benches situated around the main lake with power socket, lights and fridge. There are also lights and power situated in the swims. The lake bottom is clear firm peat and there is no weed to hinder you. Most baits work on this lake but the carp company baits sold on site really go well.

The Back Lake and new lodge: We now have a brand new luxury lodge which offers superb facilities for maximum comfort whilst fishing, including satellite TV, fridge freezer, cooking hob, microwave, large shower, toilet, 3 bedrooms, plates, cutlery, cooking utensils. The back lake is about 7 acres and is limited to 6 anglers, as well as the originals this lake has been stocked with 400 carp to offer some easier fishing. Description: Lac Du Charlou was purchased at the beginning of 2005 knowing that it had bag loads of potential to become a truly stunning location to bivvy up at and catch some very big carp. The lake was named Lac Du Charlou after our two daughters, Charlotte and Louise, lucky beggars! Lake: This stunning sixteen acre gravel pit has clear blue water, excellent for your photos, and is tree lined around the entire lake set within 24 acres of beautiful French woodland and countryside. There are some lovely views across the lake to lay and gaze at from your bivvy as the sun goes down in between catching your prize carp. Most anglers who have fished here also take home some lovely shots of the lake and its borders to remind themselves and show others just how nice it really is. The venue is nestled amongst some of the world’s most famous big carp waters on the border of the Orient Forest, home to Lac Orient and Lac Ammance, and I can guarantee you will be well impressed with the tranquillity of this one. The pegs, both double and single, are well spaced out for a maximum of ten anglers who will have ample room to fish with three or even four rods in certain pegs. There is plenty of space to bivvy up, with every peg being level and gravelled for drainage and comfort. Unhooking mats are supplied in each peg to lighten your load and care for our fish which are all in tip top condition.

Stock: The depths of the lake vary from 2 feet to 26 feet and the lake bed in mainly hard gravel with features to find and fish to. At present the lake holds over 350 carp, including mirrors, commons and leathers, ranging from 15lb to over 56b and growing fast!  The nearest main town for everything you could possibly want is only a 5 minute drive away and includes a tackle and gaming shop which believe it or not sells carping gear. For those who do like to get away from fishing for a while can relax in the town at one of the lovely bars next to the waterfall in the town centre. Lake Cadouzan is set up for those that like loads of big carp action! Restocking began in 2005, when we introduced over 400 big carp mainly mid to upper twenties and thirties and 40's were stocked and they are growing fast!, biggest carp in 2009 52lbs followed by a nice 51lbs mirror and a good number of 40's and loads of upper 30's it keeps most anglers bite alarms singing! 17 acres of rich stream fed lake with a few Lilly beds in some of the best looking and most tranquil surroundings in France. A maximum of just 8 anglers (9 if a group booking) with 17 acres of water it guarantees you all the space you could ever want for your carp fishing adventure holiday. Location: Lake Beauregard is in the Champagne region of France, an easy 3.5 hour drive from Calais.

Description:  The nearest town is Vitry Le François which is a 10 minute drive away. It is available for the exclusive use for parties of up to 6 anglers. There are over 300 mirror and common carp to over 55lbs, grass carp to over 40lbs and cats to 90lbs.
