Lac De Paix is a Carp Fishing Lake in France owned and run by Daniel & Richard Marshall.

A newly established management team we have – and are – working hard to provide a French carp fishing lake for an unforgettable holiday / drive & survive experience.

Both have fished many prolific carp fishing lakes in France and the UK. Their experience and contacts within the carp fishing industry coupled with their knowledge of tourism ensures a top quality venue at Lac de Paix.

Our philosophy is one of no nonsense. You can expect superb customer service, we like to treat our customers as we like to be treated and our standards are high.

Lake:

There are six good size swims that will accommodate two man bivvies and a double bivvy swim. All year round feeding of the fish is carried out in all areas of the lake. This not only ensures continued growth of the fish but also keeps them on the move.

In the main lake the water is oxygenated by a continuous replenishment from the natural springs below the lake bed, eventually draining off into the nature reserve behind the dam; this means flooding is virtually impossible. The stock ponds are fed from the same stream that supplies water to two local villages – the quality of water here is very high. The stock lakes have been established for around 75 years and hold many fish from decades gone by, the largest of which have been placed in the main lake.

Lac de Paix is a 1980’s clay digging and has been designed to satisfy anglers looking for a combination of runs – and sizable fish. We have achieved this by selecting an appropriate water to accommodate large carp and currently have around 5000lbs of top quality fast growing carp. There are also some sizable original fish. There are no poison-chat or crayfish in the lake. Lac de Paix is set in 10 acres of fenced, privately owned, breath-taking French countryside; surrounded by hundreds of acres of forest and farmland. Night fishing here is allowed and no permits are required.

There is easy access to all parts of the venue on foot, all pathways are well maintained

No Website , This lake has closed down (information only will be deleted)Description: Etang de La Chaume is a 11 3/4 acre secluded private lake set in the heart of rural France about 6 hrs drive from Calais. Situated in the north of the Haute-Vienne 1 hours drive north of Limoges and 1 hours drive south-west of Poitiers. This is a newly available venue which has not been fished for many years as the property was previously owned, since 1979,by a french hunter and used for duck shooting. The lake is over a 150 years old with an overgrown island in the middle which provides a nice feature to cast to.Access to the island is restricted,at the moment, as it's used by the resident wild ducks for breeding. The lake will be drained and the fish stock checked in the winter of 2004 but I introduced 10 carp up to 33lbs in November2002, which should have put on weight, and there is a good head of fish already in the lake. Lake Heritage is an English owned and run specimen Carp Lake set in the heart of the French countryside. It boosts a stunningly beautiful 17 acre Lake that requires no permits, has legal night fishing, and the use of three rods. All of the 15 posts on the lake give generous room, and we never fully book the lake ( 10 posts Maximum). Therefore, you will always have a choice of posts, and will never feel cramped. The majority of the posts are box sectioned and gravelled, as well as four of the posts being platformed, that have been beautifully constructed to give superb unhindered fishing access.

The Posts have been positioned to access the Lakes natural features, and the lake bed is blessed with a hard clay base which is weed free, and perfect for bait presentation. The lake has a superb stock, with at least 5 different 60lb plus carp, and a large head of 30lb, 40lb and 50lb mirrors and commons.

The lake is set in an Idyllic peaceful location, and beside the lake is the small village of St Pardoux, that has a bar, restaurant and café/bakery.

As well as the standard drive and survive package, we also can offer a rental package where by you can fly over to our local airport in Limoges. The package includes airport pick up and full rental equipment hire, and flights are available from around the UK to Limoges with Ryanair and Flybe. We have an on call 24 hour English bailiff, toilets and shower, and shop that we can provide you with any baits you require. 

In the last two years the running of the Lake has been taken over in full by myself, and at the same time a new bailiff appointed. Together we have worked hard to substantially improve the organisation, fishing posts, equipment, and facilities on the Lake.

Lake: The Lake itself dates back to the seventeenth century and can be found on a map of that time – it may date back further but we are yet to discover any printed documents for this.

It is therefore a well established lake and for that reason we have tried our best not to change or disturb it. All the banks surrounding the lake are low and are therefore easy accessible for both catching and returning.

Facilities: Just behind the chalet there are laundry facilities and an extra freezer / fridge should you require this.

On the land we have built a children’s play area with a large wooden frame housing a tree cabin with a slide and swings . There is a wooden wendy house which has footballs , frisbees , bats , balls , skipping ropes and many more to amuse the the children or even some adults ! There is an 18FT diameter above ground swimming pool with steps to climb in surrounded by a decking area . There is a covered Table Tennis table and also a Badminton net , with all the rackets , bats and balls provided .

All of this is situated in front of the chalet so you can relax while the children play for hours.

By the home there is a bbq area with tables and chairs for those long summer days and nights or take a walk in the woods and through the paths we have cut away and watch the wildlife or just listen to the birds.{rokcomments}

The lake was previously used by the French to fish for predators, such as pike & zander. As far as we know it was never been fished for carp so it was virgin territory. The local villagers have told us of big carp cruising and splashing and we have now seen them too. (click on latest catch for update)

Lake: 14 acres of lake surrounded by farmland and the village of Masseret Du Gare. The lake is pre Napoleonic which means we have an automatic legal right to 24 hr fishing.

We have stocked the lake with carp of 20, 30, & 40+lbs this winter. (see latest catch for details). Following the lake being drained in Feb 2003 we have removed the large Zander and most importantly the posion chat (small American catfish). Since our purchase we have put in a great deal of hard work which culminated with the lake being drained in November 2003.
