Les Rivets Carp Fishery
The fishery will be closed this year and will open again on the 14th April 2012. We have now agreed the re-restocked price with the fish farmer and have created a new menu item on www.lesrivets.com called Fishing 2012 were you can see what is going to be stocked in Jan/Feb. We are now taking booking for 2012.
Re-stocking is going to happen in Jan/Feb depending on weather conditions. At Les Rivets you will discover an extra special fishery and experience some outstanding fishing. Our 9 acre lake is near to the town of St Fargeau in the Yonne district.

Les Rivets Accommodation
The 4 bedroom house has a heated swimming pool, the two bedroom rooms upstairs have a double and a single bed in each room. The patio is over 80 sq meters and contains a BBQ and large table with ten chairs.
The house to the lake is only 50 meters and has mowed grass around it to about 300 meters. There are 6 acres of forest with a walk path and rest of the grounds are cut grass. The swimming pool is heated to 26 to 28c and there are sun loungers provided for sun bathing.

There are 2 four acre lakes at Windmill situated between the historical cities of Laval and Le Mans, just 2½ to 4½ hours from the ports of Caen and Calais.
The dedicated Carp Lake has Mirrors, Commons and Grass Carp to 45lb+ and the Catfish Lake combines “runs” water with the adventure of big Catfish to 75lb+ and counting.
We have an lakeside Alpine Chalet situated just 15 metres from the banks of the Carp Lake, so you can enjoy the beautiful views of the whole venue whilst enjoying a beer on the veranda.

Windmill Lakes Chalet
In 2008 we added the Alpine Chalet, situated approximately 15 metres from the banks of the Carp Lake overlooking the whole venue. There are 3 beds including a small double, a bunk bed and a single, all with bedding supplied, also a table & chairs, sink, gas hob and fridge, 12 volt electricity and pumped water.
The veranda is the perfect place for the non-angler to relax with a cold drink and take in the peace and beauty of the surroundings.

The “Carp Lake” was stocked in January 2004 with Mirror, Common and Grass Carp to 40 lbs +. This lake is now enjoying great success; the fish are established and growing fast.

We have a 4 bedroom house overlooking the lake with heated swimming pool. All the bedrooms have double beds and there a large patio area where to sit and relax
We are located next to a National Park where the family can go for long walks also five minutes from a large reservoir which you can find beaches for family picnics or just sit around our heated pool.
Four minutes away there is an Animal Park and an Adventure Park for the kids. For the ladies who love a day out shopping just take a 40 minute car trip into the main town of Auxerre.
Bedrooms:
There are four bedrooms two on the ground floor and two bedrooms are on the top floor, both top floor bedrooms are double sized rooms. On request we can add more beds in these bedrooms. In the TV room at the top of the stairs there is a put me up bed.
All bedrooms have double beds.
Lounge / Dining room:
There is a Dining table with six chairs and a three piece suite in the lounge. A wood burner and three large Windows overlooking the lake, one of the French window openings onto the 80square meter patio.
Bathrooms:
In the ground floor bathroom there is a double wash basin, is a Jacuzzi bath and the shower is a walk in. The toilet downstairs has its own room next to the bathroom. There are plenty of power points for hair-dryers, and shavers. On the top floor there is a cabinet type shower, toilet, and single wash basin with mirror. There are also plenty of power points
Kitchen:
Includes electric stove and oven, microware, toaster, kettle, fridge and freezer, all cooking utensils, cutlery and tea towels are provided.
Garage: In the garage there is a utility room, there is a wood shed, with cut wood for the fire if needed.

The Lake
Set in the beautiful National Park of the Puisaye region of the Yonne, Approx 8 km's from St Fargeau, and 40km's West of Auxerre.
The lake has 11 manmade swims , 8 of these are double swims which gives comfort for 8 angler, and can take up to 10 anglers without a problem.
The Lake is spring and river fed and is a closed water with night fishing allowed, and there are NO poisson chat in the lake.
There is plenty of tree cover and the bottom of the lake is sand and has some gravel areas.
The depth of this lake is from 4 feet at the shallow end and up to 19 feet deep at the dam end and the average depth is over 7ft deep.
Swim 1 is only 60 meters from the house, far enough way not been on top of the property. There is also a path all round the lake and for moving tackle around we have a mini tractor and trailer.
We have rebuilt all the swims and built a new shower / toilet block. The trees round the lake have also been cut back to allow the angler easier casting, but keeping the shade for the hot summer months.
The lake and the facilities have had a large makeover with money spent on improving all the swims and on a new shower / toilet blocks.
The shower toilet block has been built with two toilets, two showers and has power points for charging your batteries. The block is on the house side of the lake and has a fully functional kitchen including a chest freezer for use of bait. The Shower toilet block and kitchen area are heated, so for the winter months no getting out of a hot shower into a cold room. On the other side of the lake there is a five meter square shed which holds a toilet.
There will be a section of baits for sale being boilies, pop ups, hemp and pellet, you may order these in advance and pick them up on arrival. The tackle for sale is limited to mainly end tackle but if you have a major tackle problem on site them rods, reels, etc can be hired. Bait boats will be allowed on the fishery and you will be able to hire them at £45 a week, but should be reserved in advance.
