Description: Puyravaud Lakes in the heart of the Charente region of France! Peter and Marion Jackson have spent nearly 5 years restoring this beautiful historical site, which now offers top quality B&B and fishing accommodation with exclusive use of two lakes (6.5 acres and 3.5 acres). The larger of the two lakes has carp up to 45lb.
The buildings date back to the 18thCentury and were used by the Resistance during the Second World War. The whole complex has been newly renovated and is ideal for groups looking for some serious big carp fishing and those wanting a relaxing stay in the heart of France. The barn has four double/twin bedrooms, all with en-suite shower rooms, a large social downstairs, fully fitted kitchen, toilet and utility room. The adjoining cottage has two double/twin bedrooms, both with en-suite, and lovely combined lounge, diner and kitchen. Both properties have outdoor areas for alfresco dining.
B&B accommodation is available in the main house, and an outdoor swimming pool (10mx5m) is available to guests from May to September. We challenge you to find a better balance of quality carp fishing and great accommodation in a beautiful and peaceful setting.
Puyravaud is situated in the Charente, and as such enjoys excellent weather for most of the year. We are 50 minutes from Limoges airport, or 25 minutes from Angouleme airport. Cheap flights are available from Stansted, Luton, East Midlands, Liverpool, Bournemouth, Southampton and Bristol (some flights summer only). Fly in/fly out options are available with all equipment provided, as well as the normal self drive holidays.
