Description: The beautiful lake of Etang La Planchette is situated in the rural countryside of the Lorraine district of France. The lake is set in natural landscaped surroundings. Etang La Planchette is a fantastic new big carp lake that has never been fished before. The water is by no means a pushover as some of the original stock carp are wise old lumps and only those who put in the most effort will reap the best rewards. Etang La Planchette has been set up for loads of action! Newly stocked in 2009 with Mirror, Common and Grass Carp to 50 lbs plus, and Sturgeon and Catfish - so it will keep your bite alarms screaming! 8 acres of big carp lake with a few lily pad beds in a tranquil setting, with a maximum of 5 anglers means you have all the space you need for your fishing.Our aim is to provide you with the best big carp fishing in France, in great surroundings, with great food and, a fun time so you to enjoy your fishing holiday Lake: The 8 acre lake is stocked with carp to 50lb plus, including big Mirrors, Commons and Grass Carp. The lake is also being stocked with Sturgeon and Catfish. So with a head of over 200 fish that have never been caught before. Plus, No Poisson Chat The lake is situated on a gravel bed thus creating an abundantly rich environment for both fish and aquatic life. The lake is teaming with snails, swan mussels, daphnia and blood worm. There is also a huge array of plants, wildflowers and trees around the lake with a choice from 8 superb swims for a maximum of 5 anglers, we believe this is a top of the league fishing location in France. We have chosen to keep the number of anglers to a maximum of 5 to enhance your fishing time, plenty of room for each angler and to reduce the pressure on the fish. Swims are carefully arranged to prevent crowding and crossing of lines with other anglers and, each swim provides lots of marginal areas on both the near and far banks to bait up those little ‘hot spots’

Stock: There is a good head of big carp with several known, including a dozen 40lb+ fish to 55lb, with the biggest at just over 60lb. Lake: Depths range from 3ft in the Margins, to 7ft in the main body of the lake. There are bars, troughs and an old stream bed in the lake. It has mostly a hard bottom with odd silt patches, no snags to worry about. There are 10 swims of which most are doubles. A maximum of 8 anglers on the lake at any one time, including exclusive bookings. There are no poisson chat. There are no adjacent neighbours and the lake is set well back from the road, so is not overlooked by anybody. Facilities: At the lake are excellent. We have running water and clean English flushing toilets at either end of the lake. Freezers are provided for anglers bait and bait boat charging facilities are available.
